Bunny

Bunny

A simple design with long neat lines, the bunny model is one of simplicity. I wanted to return to the simple ideas I had about origami as a kid. Hence the design is more two dimensional  although the bunny has been propped up in a standing position by spreading its hind legs in triangle. Triangles are one of the most important and essential shapes in origami – by folding a piece of paper into a combination of different-sized triangles, anything is possible.  Mounted on a triangular wooden base, the model has endless possibilities to create new patterns when on display in groups where it combines two of the key aspects of this work, triangles and simplicity. Each individual is folded from one uncut square (70x70cm) of white craft paper and painted with graffiti paint; the finished model is 41 cm tall.
